SUMMARY: Charles Schulz’s beloved comic comes to life in Clark Gesner’s classic musical, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. The whole gang is here: bossy Lucy is hopelessly in love with piano prodigy Schroeder who doesn’t give her the time of day, perfectionist Sally is still mocking blanket-toting Linus, Snoopy is in the doghouse, and “blockhead,” himself, Charlie Brown, is in rare form. Brief vignettes span the months from Valentine’s Day to Beethoven Day, from wild optimism to utter despair. In this revised version with additional music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa and dialogue by Michael Mayer, the sweet, joyful innocence of the Peanuts gang is maintained, but a fresh innocence and playfulness is revealed. Whether you’re keen to fly with the Red Baron, moon over the Moonlight Sonata, or just do your best to find “Happiness,” You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown is a crowd-pleasing classic.

Cast Breakdown:
**Please note: due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will ONLY be casting these roles. There will be no ensemble in this production.**
Charlie Brown - The sometimes optimistic, sometimes self-deprecatory main character. A lovable loser, his main characteristics are self-defeating stubbornness juxtaposed with admirable determination and persistence to try his best against all odds. Dominated by insecurities, this lovable blockhead is affable, humble, smart and vulnerable. Vocal range: Bb2-F4
Lucy Van Pelt - She's a fussbudget in the truest sense of the word. Lucy Van Pelt is loud, bossy, crabby, and selfish. Her smiles and motives are rarely pure. As she sees it, her way is the only way. The absence of logic in her arguments holds a kind of shining lunacy. When it comes to compliments, Lucy only likes receiving them. If she's paying one--or even smiling--she's probably up to something devious. Vocal range: G3-F#5
Linus Van Pelt - He is the intellectual of the gang. Linus is acutely sensitive, with brains and warmth. He is a paradox: despite his age, he manages to put life into perspective and display a lifetime of wisdom and facts, all while sucking his thumb and carrying his security blanket. Vocal range: Bb2-E4
Sally Brown - A highly articulate, charismatic, lovable, sometimes eccentric and argumentative younger sister to Charlie Brown. Despite being portrayed as innocent and adorable, she is noticeably intelligent for her age. She is absurdly intense, balancing angst with innocence, sweet but a skeptic. Vocal range: B3-Bb5
Schroeder - Reserved and usually unruffled, Schroeder is passionate about one thing: music. Schroeder idolizes Beethoven and the work he has put into the world. A true artist, his passion shines through whenever he sits down at his piano. Vocal range: Bb2-Ab4
Snoopy - Charlie Brown’s dog; an extroverted beagle with a Walter Mitty complex. He is a virtuoso at every endeavor- at least in his daydreams atop his doghouse. He is a fearless, vaudevillian character with spunk and a sharp wit. Vocal range: C3-A4
