Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to nineteenth century London, seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and attacked his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which he opens a new barber practice.

Auditions will be held in 15-minute increments on the evenings of May 13th and May 15th. If all spots fill, we will open an additional window.
Those auditioning will only attend one appointment. Auditions will be held in front of the production team.
At your audition, please present:
- a 1-2 minute monologue, prepared in advance, that demonstrates your take on a chosen character from the show. Please do not do a monologue from Sweeney Todd. We would like to hear your version of the accent you'd bring to a potential casting.
- a song selection that is at least 1 minute in length but no more than 2 minutes. You should bring recorded accompaniment; no live accompaniment will be available at auditions. You may include an accent in your performance if you choose. Please do not sing anything from Sweeney Todd. (Selections from Sondheim are perfectly acceptable, but you may also sing something else.)
We do not have specific visions in mind for these roles, but we do want to see what you're able to bring to them. Don't be afraid to take a decisive risk.
Even if you do not have a specific role you'd like to play, we recommend making specific choices in your audition material to show us what you're capable of bringing to the show. Sweeney Todd is a unique musical, and we'll be looking for creative interpretations.
There is no dance call for this audition.
For those unable to attend one of the two audition dates, we are also accepting a video submission until midnight on May 15th. Please be sure to have recorded your video before submitting your audition form.

REHEARSALS:
- Monday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday late mornings/early afternoons beginning late May. Not everyone will be called to every rehearsal, but we do expect those cast to be available at least two of these rehearsal days per week most weeks.
- We will accommodate for up to two weeks of summer vacation, but we will need to know about them in advance of casting!
TECH WEEK:
August 19th-22nd from 5:30-10pm at the Grand Theatre
Mandatory for all performers, but we will flex the time as needed.
PERFORMANCES:
